Applies organizational policies and procedures to analyze and resolve various issues. Responsible for researching and analyzing financial data from various sources to determine the budget versus spend performance for the department and its units. Responsible for gathering, researching and analyzing of data for the development and presentation of recharge data. Processes all financial transactions in support of departmental operations.Responsible for implementing activities relating to the billing, auditing and analyzing of a broad range of customer service requests, vendor invoices and recharges for the campus. Responsible for independently performing and presenting analyses to show trends, variance explanations, batch validations, workload data and billing discrepancies, making recommendations for solutions as well as making adjustments where appropriate. Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism and provide an excellent level of service to customers.Responsibilities:• Financial Analysis• Fiscal Operations• Financial Reporting and Internal Controls• Customer Service and Training• Recharge Rate Analysis and AdministrationQUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.• Strong knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems. Demonstrated skill to analyze, formulate solutions, and resolve problems in the absence of higher authorities while maintaining professional relationships.• Demonstrated interpersonal skills at all levels within the unit; excellent service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment.• Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge of policies and procedures relating to accounting, budgeting, bookkeeping, reconciliation, auditing, purchasing, disbursements, and other fiscal matters.• Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Demonstrated ability to work in pressure situations and accommodate interruptions. Ability to maintain flexibility to redirect efforts when priorities change.• Demonstrated ability using spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports.• Ability to gather reasonably retrievable information to organize, and perform basic financial analysis assignments. Proven skill and ability to research, review and analyze highly complex financial information, extract pertinent data, recognize potential impact, identify creative and alternative solutions, and compile and present data effectively. Ability to prepare accurate financial data in various reporting formats.• Demonstrated ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing clearly and concisely. Ability to communicate with internal and external contacts with high level of tact, diplomacy, and discretion to foster and maintain good working relationships and to represent department well. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality in all areas of work.• Ability to function as a member of a team. Assist team members during critical deadlines. Provide coverage during absences and times of heavy workload.• Working knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting, budgeting and bookkeeping principles.
