Job DescriptionBe a part of a world-class academic healthcare system at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital as a Manager of Inpatient Rehab for the Inpatient Rehab unit.In this role as a Manager of Inpatient Rehab, you will promote and adhere to Ingalls Core Values, Ingalls Mission, and the seven Ingalls Performance Standards of Service. Supports and encourages employees to assume responsibility for their job performance. Stimulates staff to continuously improve their performance thereby improving organizational performance. Observes and adheres to all corporate compliance requirements and communicates issues as they arise to the appropriate parties as identified in the Corporate Compliance Plan. Accepts responsibility for assuring that employees working under their supervision have knowledge of laws and regulations that apply to them.Essential Job Functions:• Collaborate with the Director of Rehabilitation Services and Vice President of Operations in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.• Prepares and administers departmental/unit operating and capital budgets in collaboration with the Director/Vice President of Operations to ensure sufficient funds and personnel to accomplish departmental/unit objectives within approved financial guidelines.• Maintain fiscal/budget initiatives within designated areas of responsibility including expense management and revenue enhancement.• Supports and participates in lean organizational initiatives.• Demonstrates adherence to the Ingalls Performance Standards of Service in all interactions with all stakeholders.• Provide leadership for all staff in designated areas of responsibility.• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies and procedures as pertains to areas of responsibility.• Develop and implement performance improvement indicators to monitor and report outcomes.• Monitor operational systems to ensure optimal efficiency.• Responsible for managing, developing, hiring, disciplinary actions including termination, performance evaluations, retention, employee relations, compensation, coaching, counseling, and interviewing of management and staff within departments.Required Qualifications:• Graduation from an accredited school for Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy.• State Licensure for Illinois discipline required.• At least five (5) years of experience in practice with three (3) years of supervisory experience.• May need to participate in patient care activities.Position Details:• Job Type- Full-time• Shift: Days• Work Location: Harvey• Unit/Department: Physical Therapy/Rehab-Harvey• CBA Code: Non-UnionWhy Join UsFor nearly a century UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial has pioneered sophisticated clinical care and developed the area's most convenient network of comprehensive outpatient centers, all dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the community.
