We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Consultant with a background in supporting large customers and / or Federal customers. This individual will play a key role is designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting a large cyber security program. Qualified candidates are leaders in the security field with deep understanding of security-related technologies and methods, such as, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), vulnerability assessments, endpoint detection and response (EDR) systems, perimeter defense, cybersecurity policy, intrusion detection and prevention system (IDS / IPS), network monitoring, proxy, microservices, automation, data loss prevention (DLP) and/or data analytics platforms such as Splunk or Elastic. The ideal candidate will also be able to simplify complexity, and comfortably engage with C-Suite leadership.

In this role, the candidate will apply expertise not only with cybersecurity tools and technologies, but also understanding how a holistic cybersecurity program functions and the relationship between policy, process, and technology as well as being able to assess and contribute recommendations at both the strategic and tactical levels for the program. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity program strategy and technical architecture and draws on the candidate’s understanding of both the technical merits and capabilities of various security tools and architectures but also how they relate to the organization’s overall cybersecurity strategy and the governance structures needed for successful implementation.

• Every day, you'll bring critical day-to-day leadership and thinking to the table, working with senior leaders, aligning cross-functional projects, and ensuring that they're within reason, fiscally, and technically.
• You'll collaborate with internal teams and business leaders to understand mitigate enterprise risk, assess impact of new cybersecurity mandates and coordinate and guide disparate cybersecurity efforts across multiple entities.
• Acts as a leader to help solve technical solutions and resolve customer problems.
• Produce documentation such as data flows, data dictionaries, user guides, or operating procedures, user guides, operating procedures, systems design documents, disaster recovery documentation, etc.
• Interface with company executives and government technical management or executive-level personnel.
• Experience preparing and editing briefing materials (slides, documents, etc) for stakeholders at multiple levels from senior executives to individual contributors.
• Program Management.
• Strong understanding of security threats, tactics, procedures, and remediation efforts will work to the projects benefit.
• Ability to suggest various IT products and protocols that will integrate disparate solutions, such as routing and switching, software development, Linux, Windows, and/or cloud computing.
• Possess experience in a variety of IT areas, including networking, Linux, Windows servers, cloud technologies, and virtualization.
• Experience with cloud native technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, containers, microservices, etc.)
• Experience with AWS Open Search.
• Experience integrating solutions with other technology solutions such as active directories, backups, networking devices, security solutions, etc.
• Design data flow and engineer data life cycle to determine how data is originated, enriched, stored, and disposed to meet compliance and business requirements.
• Splunk Cloud and/or Splunk Enterprise deployment experience.
