The Data Analyst, Provider Relations at Umpqua Health plays a critical role in analyzing and interpreting data to support operational decision-making and strategic initiatives. This position involves leveraging advanced analytics tools and techniques to extract, transform, and visualize data from various sources. The Providers Analyst collaborates closely with stakeholders to develop insightful reports, dashboards, and analyses that drive improvements in health plan operations, financial performance, member satisfaction, and quality outcomes.
Your Impact- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Tableau or similar BI tools to communicate key insights and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define report requirements, design report templates, and ensure accuracy and completeness of data analysis.
- Utilize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple databases and data sources.
- Conduct trend analysis, variance analysis, and root cause analysis to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Generate ad-hoc reports and analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning efforts.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of data dictionaries, data models, and data validation rules to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance checks to identify and resolve data discrepancies or anomalies.
- Collaborate with IT and data management teams to streamline data processes, optimize data storage, and improve data accessibility.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic initiatives, process improvements, and business decisions.
- Present findings, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders through written reports, presentations, and data visualization tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement recommendations and track outcomes.

Your Credentials- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a data analyst or business analyst; strongly preferred in healthcare or related industry.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
