Our 64-bed NEUROSCIENCE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT specializes in treating patients with neurological injuries and diseases that may require endovascular intervention brain and spinal tumors subarachnoid hemorrhages and neuro-trauma patients. Our patient and family-centered care model reflects our mission: Dedicated to patients Committed to Excellence.   The staff work in partnership with our patients and their families to provide excellent care based on evidence and best practices. We strive for success by promoting a safe and healthy work environment and support continued education for our staff. The commitment to our patients families and staff is reflected by the Beacon Award for Clinical Excellence in 2009-2010. As a Center of Excellence for Neuroscience we have the largest number of Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurses (CNRN) in the country. Position Summary:

Assess patient/family health problems and resources taking a leadership role in the development implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. 

  • Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations. 
  • Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. 
  • Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization. 
  • It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. 
  • The employee will support the organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the hospital wide performance improvement plan.

Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. This program provides debt relief and student loan assistance to help you achieve your goals. Full-time employees can receive up to $18000 over five years while part-time employees can receive up to $9000. Advanced Practice Providers and Faculty Physicians can receive up to $90000 if full-time and hired within a year of completing their residency or fellowship. Part-time providers can receive up to $45000.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • One year recent acute care experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred:

  • BSN

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
