We are currently seeking a Solutions Managing Director in the San Francisco Bay Area whose core skills fall into our Security and Privacy practice. This practice encompasses a broad range of disciplines. It includes Cybersecurity, which is focused on protecting systems, networks, and data from digital attacks. Compliance is another crucial aspect, ensuring that organizations adhere to regulatory standards and laws, such as GDPR or HIPAA, to avoid penalties and protect customer data. The practice also involves a strong emphasis on General Privacy, which is about respecting and protecting user data in the tech sector, including how data is collected, stored, used, and shared. Additionally, the practice includes Change & Adoption, managing the human side of change to achieve the required business outcome, and Learning & Training, equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary in this ever-evolving field. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about security, privacy, and education in the tech sector.


The Solutions Managing Director is a critical member of Unify’s leadership team and a key contributor to our growth strategy. It is a role responsible for providing strategic direction, driving profitable growth, ensuring delivery excellence, cultivating culture, and building a high-performing team of Solution Directors and Practice Directors and Managers.


The Solutions Managing Director acts as a solution selling and delivery point of contact for communication and escalation for account teams, serves as a trusted strategic thought partner, and guides consultants’ delivery through oversight and coaching.


The Solutions Managing Director ensures all client contractual obligations are met, manages the team to meet Unify financial targets, and proactively conducts business development activities related to extending consulting engagements, expanding services, and helping establish Unify’s presence at new accounts.


The Solutions Managing Director reports to the CEO.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and curate solutions offering content that helps advance solution sales growth companywide. 
  • Actively drive individual consulting and solutions sales efforts across regions for selected solutions and areas of expertise.
  • Utilize your network to expand Unify's business in the Security, Privacy & Compliance space.
  • Identify opportunities and engage with Account, Business Development, and Practice leaders to develop individual consulting and solution proposals to help win new work.
  • Generate unique points of view, case studies, and other collateral related to selected solutions and share with internal stakeholders and with clients in sales meetings.
  • Work with the National Solutions Office to create standard solution offerings and solution-selling collateral and templates.
  • Apply subject matter expertise as a client advisor and consulting leader sponsor (as appropriate) for engagements across our core capabilities.
  • Guide both Practice and Solution Communities of Practice on the development of skills and competencies in consultants that support sales of our consulting solutions. Guide Practice and Solution Directors on the strategy, planning, and implementation of Communities of Practice and consultant learning and development roadmaps.
  • Work with Practice Leadership to provide the skills needed to deliver your solutions. Show up and inspire consultants who want to sell, lead, and deliver your solutions. Give them a path to success and create opportunities to be together in person, for Lunch & Learns, strategy sessions, happy hours, etc.
  • Engage in account meetings and strategy sessions to share intel among leaders and consultants for account growth and expansion.


Skills & Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in management consulting with a focus on providing business value.  
  • 10+ years leading concurrent projects and managing senior client relationships. 
  • Experience with waterfall, Agile, and hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Security Privacy & Compliance.
  • Prior experience managing and growing consulting services.
  • Experienced in polished business writing and presentation skills.
  • Extensive experience selling and delivering work with a track record of sales growth.   
  • Proven history of growing a client base through organic business development and supporting pre-sale actions.
  • Excellent client-facing skills including communication, presentation, and relationship management capabilities.  
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred)  


$200,000 - $250,000 a year
Base Salary + Incentive Plan
