Our team is excited to meet you!Job Overview & ResponsibilitiesThe Pueblo Prop Shop is ULA’s primary testing facility where the team designs and conducts critical development and qualification tests for components and systems. These tests are in support ULA's Atlas Vulcan rockets. This role provides the opportunity to gain project management, test engineering, and leadership experience, along with the following responsibilities:• Work as a part of a team to design and achieve test goals.• Gather requirements from assigned tests from both paper documents and coordination with test directors/customers.• Develop test setups that satisfy those requirements and mimic the flight like conditions that the Test Article may experience during the Vehicles flight to Orbit.• Tests can span from a few weeks to several months depending on the size and complexity, requiring each engineer to balance between hands on work (test setup build and testing) and conceptual design and team management to succeed.• Apply technical engineering knowledge and expertise in the completion of all aspects of an identified project, including technological considerations, cost/financial administration, and schedule management.• Potential support of some or all of the following tests:• Structural Testing• Dynamic Testing (Shock and Vibration)• Cryogenic Compatibility Testing• High Pressure Pneumatics and Flow Testing• Destructive Non-Destructive Testing• Electrical TestingRequired EducationBachelorRequired Years of ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of related work experienceBasic Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university• CAD 3D modeling experience• Experience with all or some of the following:• Pneumatics• Hydraulics• Statics and Dynamics• ElectricalPreferred Qualifications• Experience with all or some of the following:• Cryogenics Experience (Liquid Nitrogen, Hydrogen or Oxygen)• Structural Analysis• Thermodynamics• Programming/Coding (C++, Python, Labview)• Previous experience using Instrumentation, Transducers, and Data Acquisition systems such as the following:• Pressure, Load Cells, Strain Gages, LVDT, Thermocouples, RTDs• Dewetron, Dewesoft, National Instruments Data Collection SystemsSummary Salary Range (for ULA - Pueblo only): $80,292.00 - $125,404.00Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations.
