Growing together.This position is within the Optum CA Finance team, focused on supporting forecasting, planning, and month-end analytics.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:• Perform monthly close analysis and reporting to facilitate understanding of monthly results against budget/forecast• Utilize advanced Excel skills to create and maintain complex financial forecasting models and reports• Conduct in-depth ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and cost efficiencies• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and insights• Consolidate and analyze reports that are provided by different Finance teamsYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience• 3+ years of financial planning and/or accounting experience• Experience driving business performance in a high growth environment• Advanced level of proficiency with MS ExcelPreferred Qualifications:• MBA or CPA• Experience with Hyperion Essbase• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analytics• Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail• Proven excellent communication skills and an ability to influence across a matrix environment• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities• Proven self-motivated and capable of driving tasks with limited managerial oversight• All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
