As a member of our Creative Department, you will help to shape and execute the creative vision of The Foundation with exceptional execution of work. In addition to being a conceptual design superstar, you must have a strong desire to join one of the top fundraising teams in Canada. Our Creative Department’s goal is to create world-class, awarded, strategic creative in support of all our business functions.

About the Role
The Senior Graphic Designer will report directly to the Associate Creative Director while working closely alongside our team of designers, writers, and developers to support the vision for the creative output of the department. You will be responsible for leading the development and presentation of insightful and striking design solutions. Balancing design thinking with interpersonal skills, you will champion great design to internal clients and project teams alike. You will have a keen sense of what work reinforces Foundation objectives, mixing creative expression with delivering on the objectives of the brief.

You will:

  • Develop and lead design concepts and communicate ideas clearly and in a compelling fashion. You can easily articulate your design thinking and insights that led to your ideas
  • Be directly responsible for project conceptualization, design, and development across a wide range of mediums, including storyboarding, printed material (reports and proposals, posters, POS, collateral, etc), website layouts, and digital and social marketing assets
  • Provide quality assurance on creative deliverables
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Mentor and guide more junior designers, fostering a collaborative and educational environment
  • Embrace and foster the use of AI within the department to optimize our working processes

Qualifications

You have:

  • 5+ years in an agency or in-house creative team
  • Strong digital design portfolio – especially consumer-facing websites, email, print and social
  • Strong visual, interactive, and graphic design skills
  • Experience presenting your work and substantiating your design decisions
  • Knowledge of the latest versions of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
  • Time management skills to manage responsibilities and to always be prepared
  • A self-motivated and accountable attitude
  • Proficiency in motion graphics for the Web and video (Premiere Pro and After Effects)
  • Illustration skills in electronic media considered an asset
  • A high degree of compassion and emotional intelligence
