Description: Staff level financial analyst will support the financial planning and analysis needs of a large healthcare system, focusing on budgeting, financial reporting, and data integrity using the StrataJazz platform. This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and work products have high visibility with senior leadership, therefore accuracy and attention to details are extremely important. Strong communication skills are essential in order to support all business units in the health system. Essential Duties: • Primary responsibility is to assist with the administration of StrataJazz platform and to assist our business units with preparing operating budgets • Participate in planning the budget cycle, training users, uploading budgets to general ledger, maintaining StrataJazz One Plan Budget software. • Work with operational managers and finance teams to develop a system-wide budget. • Ensure submitted budgets are complete and meet all standards • Assist with creating corporate consolidation and monthly spreads of the organization's budget. • Transfer budget from StrataJazz to Oracle as needed. Compile statistics for applicable hospitals and load to Oracle • Train new operational users in budget system and methods • Assist with maintaining and validating actual monthly data from Strata Data Integration files, StrataJazz modules, roll out to end users, and creation of reports. • Maintain StrataJazz operational user security • Compare actual to budget results as requested • Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or business required. MBA/CPA preferred. Experience & Knowledge: Two plus years accounting or finance experience required. Must be detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem solving ability. Notable client service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills required. Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment required. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Budgeting/healthcare experience preferred. Experience with data manipulation preferred. Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge: Demonstrated strong ability to use PCs, Microsoft Office suite (in particular Excel and Access), and general office equipment (i.e., printers, copy machine, etc.) required. Stratajazz Budget software, Strata Data Integration and Strata Management Reporting is preferred.
