University Libraries Scholar Support & Technology Desk Assistant OPS

Access Services & Delivery within FSU Libraries contains Scholar Support Desks at Strozier Library, Dirac Science Library, and the Engineering Library. The Technology Desk is located at Strozier Library.

The Scholar Support Desk position is located in Strozier OR Dirac OR Engineering.

• Provides support of circulating materials from the Circulation desk, ranging from technology, study supplies, physical collection items, and study rooms, in addition to assisting with in-library and Curbside delivery (Strozier only).
• Provides light scholarly research related to basic reference questions. Provides scholar support in accessing library services such as printer issues or general inquiries.

The Technology Support Desk is located in Strozier Library

• Assisting with troubleshooting of technology and media related questions.
• Providing knowledge of all special circulating technology and their maintenance.
• Assisting with the inventory and record keeping of the circulating technology and the virtual catalogs on the library website.
• Assisting with special projects of all levels of complexity for Access Services and Delivery.
• Contributing to and participating in brainstorming sessions in a collaborative team environment.

High school diploma or equivalent

• Scholar Support Desk: Customer service experience/skills are preferred
• Technology Desk: IT and/or graphic design experience preferred
