Position HighlightsThe Financial Analyst will support the office of the Senior Vice President of Health Sciences through a variety assignments and projects involving reporting, analysis of financial and operations data, and provide support for business processes and functions. For more information about working at the University of Arizona and relocations services, please click here.Duties & Responsibilities• Direct and monitor a variety of accounting activities to ensure the institution's financial resources are managed in accordance with accounting principles and comply with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards.• Analyzes and prepares recommendations for financial plans, including annual resource allocation and forecasting. Monitors program actual performance against budget, financial targets, and other compliance and achievement metrics.• Provides regular and ad hoc reports and analyses as directed, using a variety of information resources and systems.• Responsible for commitment management and reporting. Also monitor and report on SVPHS unit funding ensuring that funds are spent in accordance to plan and within budget perimeters.• Prepares financial and administrative reports for planning purposes; analyzes and interprets financial data and other information and reviews with strategic initiative plan owners.
