Senior HR Recruiter - (STA015101)

Performs senior- level professional work involved in therecruitment, screening, referring and placement of applicants intohard to fill vacant staff positions. Counsels universitydepartments regarding employment practices and procedures.• Serves as Human Resources Recruiter with a primaryresponsibility for exempt positions.• Responsible for recruitment for senior level administrative andstaff positions.• Works closely with Division/Department Business offices toensure recruitment processes and compliance are beingfollowed.• Partners with Legal on all H1B postings to ensurecompliance.• Assists Employment team in the development of recruitment, andnew hire on-board programs.• Leads Employment staff and assists with training new employmentrepresentatives.• Assists with identifying and addressing existing and emergingrecruitment gaps; may include gathering research, benchmarkingstudies, pilot programs, assessments and other appropriateactions.• Provides reports for metric review and helps strategizeimprovements. Measures recruitment plan successes.• Develops new recruiting sources, networks with other HRrecruiters, coordinates job fairs, other community outreachprograms and other recruiting functions to expand the university'sjob pool.In collaboration with the manager, works with the HumanResources Business Partners to build and maintain positivepartnerships internally and externally to ensure the employment andrecruiting needs of the university are met.Interprets policies andprocedures for complex and variable issues and makesrecommendations for exceptions to policies and procedures.Postspositions on Human Resources' web site and updates the applicanttracking system.Serves as University of Houston HERCLiaison.Performs other job-related duties as required.EEO/AAQualifications :Bachelors and 5 years experienceRequires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practicalaspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; orthe basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline.Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal,directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university oran equivalent in-depth specialized training program that isdirectly related to the type of work being performed.
