Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
Oversee and develop OPPE indicators that align provider performance data with The Joint Commission accreditation standards and system goals. • Evaluate assessment and documentation data for compliance with governing bodies in addition to identifying provider trends that put patients and the organization at risk. • Assist with validation of OPPE data reported on departmental and provider scorecards. • Oversee and assist with bi-annual OPPE evaluations, reports, and OPPE Scorecard with department Chief. • Collaborate with Quality Management Department Leadership and staff to collect, review, analysis, and prepare data reports related to quality improvement and professional practice; identify trends that may impact patient care and/or the hospital’s financial performance. • Work with the Director of Quality Management to develop strategies that enhance patient outcomes, maximize the hospital’s quality-based reimbursement, and optimize the hospital’s ranking within Vizient’s Quality and Accountability dashboard. • Work with hospital leadership, advanced practitioners, and physicians to provide a planned, systematic, hospital-wide approach to identify, measure, monitor, and evaluate quality improvement activities to foster zero harm that align with the principles of a high reliability organization. • Lead and manage special quality improvement projects by identifying resources needed, persons to be involved, and project management requirements to complete the project. • Actively participate in key hospital quality improvement committees, teams, and projects. • Meets on a regular basis with Physicians to determine department and hospital quality focus priorities; review data and identify and present quality issues that need to be addressed. • Develop newsletter for education that fosters an understanding of quality improvement. • Responsible for data management (e.g., Maryland Quality Based Reimbursement , potentially preventable complications, patient safety indicators , mortality, timely follow-up and Vizient). • Perform other duties as assigned.
