Interact with and assist students at the graduate and undergraduate levels in digital fabrication programming and operations. Assist in troubleshooting, general maintenance, and ordering of parts and ancillary equipment. Prepare and present formal demonstrations of machine operation or fabrication techniques. Research new methods and techniques of fabrication. Track and maintain usage reports on CNC Milling and 3D Printing loads. Responsible for maintaining safe and orderly conduct of the Lab at all times.Job DescriptionJob Responsibilities:• Programing of 3 axis CNC milling machines; programing of 3D drafting software to address file issues, generate NC files and reading G-code; establish tooling, milling speeds and feeds, maintaining shop policy of student usage and safety procedures.• Operate CNC milling machines: position / load materials; mill files to specified completion.• Program 3D Printers; establish appropriate part orientations and nesting.• Operate 3D Printers; complete all necessary post-processing.• Assist in troubleshooting, general maintenance, and ordering of parts and ancillary equipment for all mills and printers.• Track and maintain usage reports on CNC Milling and 3D Printing loads.• Perform additional duties as assignedQualifications• Bachelor's Degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.• *Please provide a resume and cover letter in order to be considered for this role.
