For information regarding the USF Health, please visit our website at http://health.usf.edu/index.html.POSITION SUMMARY:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing health care to the USF student, staff, and faculty population under general supervision and in accordance with standardize procedures is responsible for performing psychiatric evaluations and psychiatric medication management, counseling patients, monitoring patient progress, assisting with medical research projects. Assist with clinical preceptorship of nurse practitioner students. Works in collaboration with other health care team members, consulting and referring as appropriate but retains responsibility for ongoing clinical management of the patient.RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs professional pediatric nurse practitioner care according to established standards, practices, protocols and in accordance with the Florida Practice act for Advanced Nurse Practitioners.Participates in QA projects, educational sessions for clinical staff and attends scheduled organizational sessions.Performs other duties as assigned in specific locations.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:MINIMUM:Advanced PMHNP degree: You need an accredited master's in nursing (MSN) or a doctor of nursing practice (DNP) with a focus on psychiatric mental health.Board certification: The main certification for PMHNPs is the ANCC Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certification (PMHNP-BC).PREFERRED:APRN in pediatrics preferred but family medicine acceptable.USF HealthInformation for ApplicantsThis position is subject to a Level 2 criminal background check.Job Opening Number: 38331Posting Date: 12/03/2024Posting End Date: 12/11/2024How To ApplyClick on the Apply Now button.
