Purpose:

KS WELI aspires to replicate the impact of our institute beyond the borders of UT, targeting universities nationwide. For Summer 2025, the MBA Intern will play a critical role in launching the expansion of KS WELI and other organizational projects, reporting to the Director. The MBA Intern will work cross-functionally to build and execute against core expansive goals outlined by the KS WELI Strategic Plan.

Responsibilities:

Research & Market Analysis 

  • Assess various opportunities for expansion, such as an annual learning conference, licensing and credentialing, or playbook tiered model, etc. 
  • Research and recommend business and pricing models for expansion, researching analogs and best practices across multiple industries. 

Playbook & Database Build 

  • Create and aggregate the playbook product to sell to target universities, including our Founder Program, Student Board Organization, Signature Events, and Marketing Strategy. 
  • Gather and refine operating procedures, processes, strategy, templates and assets to package into the playbook. 
  • Write and gather the centralized, asynchronous database including content recordings, articles, resource links, funding opportunities, discounted services and network directory. 

Sales Strategy 

  • Create the sales cycle strategy, timeline and communications for the target university pipeline. 
  • Generate target university leads through outbound campus calls and inbound interest form on website. 
  • Support sourcing and relationship management of target universities. 

Beta Implementation 

  • Structure beta test for our first co-campus expansion, including operating process, timeline, and project management. 
  • Create the onboarding and implementation process for beta, including full communications prepwork for co-campus stakeholders. 
     

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Currently accepted to or enrolled in an MBA, MSTC, PhD or other relevant graduate program
  • At least 5 years of full-time experience
  • Relevant coursework/experience in entrepreneurship and a demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship and a passion for supporting women-led businesses and leaders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience in creating presentations, reports, and documents
  • Ability to conduct and synthesize thorough research using qualitative and quantitative methods, with attention to detail and a focus on actionable insights
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales, implementation, customer success, account management, and/or program management, curriculum building, and/or franchising
  • Proactive, strategic executor with ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and propose innovative solutions that align with the Institute's long-term goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with CRM software or data visualization tools
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello)

Hourly Rate:

  • $20+/hr

Working Conditions:

  • Work performed in standard office conditions.
  • Repetitive use of keyboard at a workstation.

Schedule Work Shift:

  • Hybrid in-office in Austin, Texas
  • 20-40 hours per week, to be discussed
  • Position ends on or around August 22, 2025, with the opportunity to extend
