Job Summary:This position is in the Service Desk and PC Support Group within the WSLH Office of Information Systems (OIS). WSLH has about 650 desktops, 115 laptops and 240 instrument PCs that are supported by this group. These are primarily Windows based machines. In addition to standard productivity software applications like Microsoft Office and Adobe, this position would also support a wide variety of 3rd party applications such as Epic Beaker and Cisco Endpoint Protection. The position also provides support for the various instrument software and their connections. This position also performs user authorization/deactivation, mobile device support, onsite and virtual meeting, and other similar duties.This position is responsible for the setup, management and troubleshooting of workstations including hardware and software and will be required to work with other staff to develop and implement procedures for the installation and deployment of new software and updates to current software. Furthermore, they will perform routine and non-routine troubleshooting for computer problems and consult with customers to understand their business problem and determine the best way to meet their information needs. This position will also be required to travel between multiple buildings to perform this service.
