Salary:Minimum $21.63 HOURLYDepending on QualificationsJob Summary:International Student Services (ISS) seeks an individual committedto international student transition and immigration compliancesupport in a fast-paced, high demand environment. This position isprimarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing ofimmigration document requests for incoming (admitted) studentsseeking F-1 or J-1 student immigration status. Requires strongattention to detail and commitment to student data privacy and dataintegrity.This position reports to the assistant director for compliance andis an essential member of the Compliance Team (7 staff) within theISS office (21-23 staff). ISS serves over 7,000 F/J nonimmigrantstudents and over 2,000 alumni on post-completion employmentauthorization, in addition to the J-1 student intern program. Weutilize Terra Dotta ISSS batch software to maintain F/Jinternational student compliance and communications.Responsibilities: Provides administrative support forcompliance related correspondence and assists in policyinterpretation for a designated group or affiliate population insupport of maintaining the regulatory compliance of the program.• 45% Connects target populations with compliance resources toassist with interpreting laws, regulations, and best practices; andcommunicates with customers to provide information or answerquestions• 45% Tracks and maintains records of compliance through variousmediums• 10% Provides logistical office support to complete operationaltasksTasks:• Support immigration compliance, updates and reporting byserving as Designated School Official(DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO)• Review bio-demographic, financial, and immigrationdocumentation for F-1 and J-1 studentimmigration document production and compliance updates• Perform routine immigration status updates, data complianceaudits and Terra Dotta processmaintenance and improvements• Advise admitted international students via Information Request,phone, and email• Participate in regular ISS staff and advising check-in meetingsand IS Staff Dialogue SeriesInstitutional Statement on Diversity:Diversity is a source of strength, creativity, and innovation forUW-Madison.
