The University of Michigan is seeking a Creative Director for Marketing and Communications. This role involves aligning Ross's website, creative projects, and media plans with the integrated marketing strategy and brand identity. The Creative Director will foster a positive, inclusive community, develop impactful experiences, and take ownership of outcomes. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and managing 8 direct reports, this position plays a critical role in shaping Ross's marketing direction.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the CMO to develop a creative strategy aligned with strategic goals.
• Lead the execution of creative strategy and programs for marketing and advertising materials across various channels.
• Manage the creative team and external ad agency to enhance the school's reputation.
• Partner with brand and content teams to understand goals and target audiences.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in design and storytelling.
• Provide positive leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for the team.
• Support budget development and maintenance.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in art, graphic design, advertising, marketing, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in advertising, marketing, or professional design.
• 3+ years of experience in a creative leadership position.
• Expertise in advertising across various platforms.
