Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET, Python)
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for end-to-end testing of our product.
- Collaborate with developers to understand the product architecture and identify test cases.
- Implement automated testing solutions using Python for various components, including REST, SOAP, and streaming services.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure quality and performance.
- Integrate testing with CI/CD pipelines to enhance the testing process and ensure timely releases.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain test documentation and provide regular updates on testing progress and results.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to enhance testing processes.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from IIT, NIT, or any other reputed institute.
- 5-7 years of overall experience, with at least 4 years in automation testing and quality assurance.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Django framework.
- Hands-on experience integrating third-party APIs (REST, SOAP, streaming services) into products.
- Familiarity with database technologies, specifically MySQL and HBase.
- Experience with message brokers, particularly Kafka.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies such as Agile.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure like AWS/GCP or other cloud service provider experience
- Knowledge of additional testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
- Hands on experience with Microservices architecture
- Solid CI/CD experience

- You work on the command line confidently and are familiar with all the goodies that the linux toolkit can provide
