The Team
Upstart’s Servicing Vertical is responsible for the lifecycle of each and every loan, ensuring an exceptional experience for every borrower. Our Servicing Core Platform team is specifically responsible for building and maintaining a componentized, distributed Servicing Platform that connects all other functional areas within Servicing. The team’s goal is to create a SaaS platform that is best in class among financial institutions.
As our Senior Manager, Software Engineering, you will collaborate with stakeholders across Upstart’s entire business including Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Product Management, Product Design, and more. You will report directly to a Director of Engineering and will lead the Core Platform team in architecting the future of our Servicing system. Your goal will be to autonomously identify and prioritize high impact work that will ultimately pave the way to a world class Servicing solution.
Position Location - This role is available in the following locations: Remote, San Mateo, Austin, Columbus
Time Zone Requirements - This team operates on the all US time zones.
Travel Requirements - This team has regular on-site collaboration sessions. These occur 3 days per quarter at an Upstart office. If you need to travel to make these meetups, Upstart will cover all travel related expenses.

At Upstart, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the below range. Your actual base pay will depend on your geographic location–with our “digital first” philosophy, Upstart uses compensation regions that vary depending on location. Individual pay is also determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
