Experienced Software Developer - Contract to Hire

We are looking for an experienced developer to assist us with upgrading a program we designed many years ago. The program is currently in VB6 and only compatible with systems running Windows XP and Windows 98... We are looking to modernize this software and ensure compatibility with current Windows OS. In addition we are also looking to make this program web compatible and possibly work with AI. Ideally we are looking for a developer who is experienced, creative and willing to work closely with our operations manager. AI experience is not required but very much welcomed. The program in question was designed as a document archiving program that allows the individual to search for specific information on the document that has been indexed and archived
