Job Description: General Accountant (Latin American Region) Position: General Accountant... Location: Candidate should be from the Latin America Region. This role is 100% Remote Work/ Work from home. Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant from the Latin American region to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multiple accounting software systems, including QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, and Acumatica. They must be highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, with proficiency in pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data presentation. Certification in QuickBooks is required. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations. Accounting Operations: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with local labor laws. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities. Software Management: Utilize QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, and Acumatica for accounting operations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and implementation of software updates and best practices. Data Analysis and Reporting: Create and analyze financial reports using Microsoft Excel. Utilize pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other advanced Excel functions for data analysis. Develop and present interactive graphs and data visualizations for management reports. Compliance and Auditing: Assist in the preparation and coordination of audits. Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies. Maintain accurate and organized financial records for audit purposes. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.. Requirements Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience. Proven experience with QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, and Acumatica. Certifications: QuickBooks Certification is mandatory. CPA is a plus. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data visualization). Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experience and strong knowledge of US GAAP. Familiarity with local accounting standards and regulations in the Latin American region. Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a multinational company or working with international clients. Bilingual in Spanish and English
