Company Overview: We are a dynamic and growing company seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our team on a 6-month retainer contract. Position: WordPress Developer Contract Duration: 6 Months Hours Required: 2 hours per day 40 hours per month Compensation: $1500 USD for 6 months Payment: All payments will be made via Upwork only. Responsibilities: Maintain and update our WordPress site regularly. Optimize site speed to ensure fast load times and improved user experience. Customize existing plugins and develop new plugins as needed. Write custom CSS and PHP code to meet specific client requirements. Fix Google Console errors and address page indexing issues. Ensure the website is SEO-friendly and follows best practices. Implement security measures to protect the site from vulnerabilities. Requirements: Proven experience in custom WordPress development. Expertise in PHP, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. Strong knowledge of WordPress core, themes, and plugins. Experience in optimizing WordPress site speed and performance. Ability to troubleshoot and fix technical issues promptly. Familiarity with Google Console and resolving indexing issues. Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to messages (within 12 hours). Ability to meet deadlines and work independently. Understanding of SEO best practices. Familiarity with version control systems like Git. Additional Requirements: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with our team and clients. Proactive in suggesting improvements and implementing best practices. Knowledge of modern web development tools and frameworks. Experience with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce is a plus. Important: The developer must be available for 2 hours daily. Responsiveness to messages within 12 hours is crucial. Failure to do so may result in the termination of the contract without further payments.
