Position Overview:
We are a small professional services firm with a national reputation for our work as a strategic advisor to public companies and their boards of directors in the area of focus. In our area, there are numerous reporters at all the major U.S.-based print and online media outlets that have dedicated teams for business news that cover what we do. There are also specialized news services, including subscription only services, that cover our area.
While we are sought after by many reporters for quotes and commentary, on and off the record, on breaking and trending news, we are looking for a public relations specialist (independent, direct service providers, not a multi-person firm or agency) to expand our media footprint by (i) having us quoted in major U.S.-based print and online media (e.g., Associated Press, Business Insider, MarketWatch, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, Bloomberg News, CNBC.com, Yahoo Finance, Fortune Magazine, Forbes... Magazine Reuters, Semafor, Financial Times, The Deal, Agenda Week, Axios, Directors and Boards Magazine, Corporate Board Member Magazine, and Chief Executive Magazine), and (ii) securing media appearances, in person or virtual, on U.S.-based network, cable, and streaming channels (e.g., ABC, CBS, NBC, TBS, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, PBS, Fox, Cheddar News, Yahoo Finance, Bloomberg Business, etc.).
Deliverables:
●Secure the publication of our quoted comments with respect to our area of focus in nationally recognized, U.S.-based print and online media outlets; and
● Secure media appearances for us, in person or virtual, on nationally recognized, U.S.-based network, cable, and streaming channels to discuss our area of focus.
Milestones:
● THIS WILL BE A FIXED PRICE PROJECT TIED TO THE ACHIEVEMENT OF A MILESTONE. Each secured, distinct, and published article in U.S.-based, nationally recognized print or digital media quoting our comments with respect to our area of focus is a separate milestone as is each secured and broadcasted media appearance on a U.S.-based, nationally recognized network, cable, or streaming channel where we discuss our area of focus.
Qualifications:
● Proven experience as a public relations specialist or similar / relevant role
● Strong existing network of media contacts and relationships
● Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with press contacts
● Ability to create and drive forward quoting and other earned media opportunities
