Research Analyst for Startup

Hi There,I am starting a new company, a tech startup incubator.As an incubator, we generate new business ideas, develop them, and bring them to market. Essentially, we are a company that builds companies from the ground up.We are seeking a Research Analyst to help us with research work across multiple different topics and industries. Your role will be crucial in assisting us to explore and validate new business ideas.Responsibilities:•Conduct online research across various topics and industries.• Identify and compile a list of experts/consultants on various topics and industries.• Build lists of potential clients, suppliers, employees, and investors.• Source manufactures across various countries.• Handle general administrative tasks.Example Tasks:• Research and prepare a detailed spreadsheet of companies in the Australian payment app space, including details on market share, target audience, unique selling propositions (USP), fees, etc.• Compile a comprehensive list of EV car manufacturers in China, include details on their quality, price, technical specifications, and contact information.• Compile a list of data centre consultants based in Australia.• Prepare a list of family offices in Singapore focused on pre-seed investments in proptech startups.These are only examples of the type of research that will be needed, these are not actual projects.Required Skills:• Strong online research skills• Proficient with AI tools like ChatGPT.• Strong LinkedIn research skills.• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint• Ability to clearly present and communicate research• Must be able to think and work independently and get the job done!Initially, the Research Analyst will be offered work on a case-by-case basis, likely a few hours every few weeks.
