Upwork has partnered with a global Data Engineering company delivering AI to many of the world’s most prestigious companies. They provide AI-enabled software platforms and managed services for AI data collection/annotation, AI digital transformation, and industry-specific business processes.
They are currently seeking a Germany-based, detail-oriented Data Annotators to analyze social media user searches and the corresponding content generated from each search. Freelancers will answer questions about the relevancy of the search results, according to project guidelines as provided by the client, with the goal of improving the user experience.
The first week of work is intended to familiarize the freelancer with the tasks and expectations - feedback may be provided, and virtual meetings may be requested. The client prefers availability of 20-25 hours per week (Monday through Friday, at any time), and the project is expected to continue for 6 months, with the potential to extend beyond that if mutually agreed to.
Freelancers will be assigned tasks within the client’s data annotation platform, ADAP, where they’ll complete the work, which consists of answering questions about the relevancy of search results by either checking boxes or writing short answers.
The social media platform is confidential at this time, and freelancers are not currently required to have an account on the platform to complete the work, although that could change in the future. The work will be in German, as the content is localized.
It’s possible that the freelancer will be exposed to sensitive content, and if so, they may opt-out and move on to the next task.
Fluent German language proficiency is required
Consistent access to high-speed internet on the freelancer’s personal device is required (phone or tablet may be acceptable, but a laptop or desktop computer is preferred)
Experience with data annotation is preferred but not required
