Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Manager to join our team and lead the overhaul of our social media presence. This role is pivotal as we seek to enhance our brand communication and optimize our social media strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase our online presence and improve marketing and sales efforts.
- Manage and oversee our existing social media accounts, particularly our Instagram accounts:
- Specialart_coloring: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6D7PbiI384/
- Specialart_books: https://www.instagram.com/specialart_books/
- Analyze and report on the performance of social media campaigns.
- Collaborate closely with the editorial team to align social media content with our brand’s voice and objectives.
- Create engaging, high-quality content that resonates with our audience and promotes our publications.
- Coordinate with our internal team of graphic designers for content creation, although the ability to create content independently is a plus.
- Stay updated with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
Challenges and Considerations:
Account Management Strategy:
- Our initial strategy involved maintaining one account specifically for coloring books and another for all other books. We realized that starting from scratch with a new account is challenging and may not be the best approach.
- We need to decide whether to consolidate these accounts under a single brand name or maintain separate identities. If we choose to merge, we need to manage the transition smoothly, ensuring we retain our existing followers and brand awareness.
Rebranding and Content Updates:
- Should we opt to change the name of our primary account, currently focused on coloring books, we must also update links and references in our published content, which currently direct to this account. This involves a considerable amount of work to avoid losing valuable traffic and engagement.
Brand Consistency and Growth:
- Balancing the need to keep our existing followers engaged while expanding our reach and attracting new audiences across different book genres.
- Ensuring the brand message is clear and consistent across all social media platforms.
Strategic Options for Rebranding:
Option 1: Complete Rebranding:
- Develop new graphics.
- Register the new brand with EUIPO (expect a 4-month wait for complete registration).
Option 2: Review Social and Communication with Current Logo:
- Merge the current social media accounts into one unified account under Special Art_Books:

- Specialart_books (https://www.instagram.com/specialart_books/ - NEW ACCOUNT)
Potential Issues to Address:
Loss of all previous tags, meaning posts from people that tagged us. We might need to contact individuals and ask them to update the tag to the new profile. Are there other solutions?
Updates Needed for Instagram/Facebook Links:
Update social links on various platforms including website, email campaigns, and other social media accounts.
Books:
Update links and references in our published books, prioritizing the most popular titles first. This includes books on distribution platforms .
Note: If we proceed with Option 1, we will need to modify the logo on the cover and internal pages of the content.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, particularly in the publishing or related industries.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram.
- Excellent knowledge of social media analytics and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite).
- Exceptional copywriting and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work effectively with remote teams.
- Creative thinker with the ability to propose innovative ideas for content and campaigns.
- Experience in content creation is preferred, but coordination with our internal team of graphic designers is also an option.
