Come be a part of what makes us so special!The OpportunityAs a dedicated Director of Quality Assurance/Quality Control for Bank Financial Crimes, you will lead a team responsible for developing and implementing quality assurance programs and ensures effective and efficient policies, processes, and procedures are aligned and followed. Conducts quality reviews and delivers results to appropriate partners and develops action plans for success. Provides oversight to ensure quality standards are established in accordance with internal practices, risk and compliance policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements for Quality Management.We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Charlotte, NC, Tampa, FL, or Colorado Spring, CO.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.What you'll do:• Directs, leads, and motivates cross-functional team members in strategy development and day-to-day planning and execution of Quality Management processes and procedures.• Ensures objectives align with operational process, regulatory, risk and compliance goals to effectively contribute to the mission of USAA and to protect USAA's brand and reputation.• Advises senior leadership on issues and assists with Quality strategy development for operations/CoSA/affiliate partners.• Maintains and applies expert knowledge of the business, member service components and operational processes.• Applies sophisticated leadership and collaborative skills in interacting with collaborators and control/business/affiliate partners.• Builds processes and relationships that facilitate productive teamwork and goal achievement.• Performs complex/outstanding work assignments and problem resolution within CoSA and Enterprise projects.• Serves as the Quality subject matter expert and/or liaison with control partners to ensure documents, projects, processes, and initiatives stay in sync with regulatory/legal requirements and Enterprise/internal policy.• Builds and leads all aspects of a team of employees for assigned functional area through ongoing execution of recruiting, development, retention, coaching and support, performance management, and managerial activities.• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.What you have:• Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.• 8 or more years progressive operations or process experience.• 4 years of quality assurance, control, or quality improvement experience.• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory laws and standard methodologies.• 3 or more years of direct team lead or management experience.• Knowledge of federal laws, rules, regulations, and applicable guidance to include: UDAAP, TILA/REG Z, BSA/AML, Reg P, Reg E, Reg CC, OCC Heightened Standards.What sets you apart:• US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.• 8 years of experience in Bank Financial Crimes including, but not limited to Fraud Detection, Investigations, or Recovery Operations, Regulation E/Z Disputes, Anti-Money Laundering (AML)• 8 years of experience in Root Cause Analysis, Strategic Planning, and Agile Concepts.• Proficient knowledge in analyzing data and developing reports that support analysis conclusion.• Uses proficient knowledge to provide mentorship in the design, assessment, implementation and/or administration of moderately sophisticated quality assurance/control programs, practices, and policies.• Identifies and evaluates quality standards, measurements, and process improvements to ensure they are aligned with internal practices and regulatory requirements.• Coordinates quality assurance/control programs and communicates quality program decisions.• Briefs key partners and management on quality assurance/control review results, trends, studies, and initiatives, and recommends courses of action.• Identifies issues and provides timely escalation to appropriate business leaders.The above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job and should not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be performed in the job.What we offer:Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
