Come be a part of what makes us so special!The OpportunityWe are seeking a dedicated Project Manager Lead - Traffic to join our Strategy, Digital and Brand team. The Traffic function is part of the Program & Project Management unit within USAA's Creative Operations organization, a critical part of Brand Marketing and the In-House Creative Agency. The role demands experience with advertising agency ad trafficking process, high-level project organization and management, data input, attention to detail, partner relations and communication, contractor and risk management and productivity in a fast-paced environment.In this role, you will manage and execute ad trafficking involving coordinating, substantiating, coding, reviewing and optimizing campaign tactics so they're ready to launch in-market, ensuring they run as efficiently and effectively as possible. The Traffic Project Manager (PM) participates in the creative development process from the start of integration and creation through delivery and measurement of all tactics. Collaborating with Brand Marketers, Media Managers, Creative and other Project Managers, the Traffic PM ensures campaign details are entered into the trafficking platforms, trafficking instructions (matrices/coding/tagging) are created, reviewed and executed accordingly, in-market risk is mitigated, and creative is reviewed by all appropriate partners, including compliance, before files are finalized, placed, published, delivered or optimized.We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in the following location: San Antonio, TX.Relocation assistance is not available for this position.What you'll do:• Drives implementation of moderately to highly complex work efforts, typically requiring confidentiality and enterprise-level visibility within a program to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives.• Works closely with cross-functional teams and resources to achieve work efforts and milestones within established timeframes and program guidelines.• Manages risk by using established risk management practices to address execution challenges associated with quality, schedule, and costs, in adherence with risk management framework.• Accountable for planning, directing, delegating, and coordinating activities for moderately complex work efforts to accomplish goals and objectives within a specified timeframe, scope, and budget.• Monitors and reports on business objectives, work efforts achievements, and key indicators and communicate trends to project team members.• Communicates with work efforts stakeholders and executive/senior management and provides insight on issues through root cause analyses.• Facilitates collaboration on creative alternatives to project challenges and resolves issues / removes obstacles with subject matter experts.• Removes obstacles and impediments to ensure business and operational objectives are met.• Develops, tracks, and maintains work effort(s) budgets that may include necessary capital expenditures, operational expenses, and labor funding requirements.• Manages ambiguity and consistently seeks to drive clarity amongst work effort(s) stakeholders.• Defines the control and the overall delivery of the work efforts to meet the goals, objectives, and success criteria.• Establishes overall cadence for communication with impacted stakeholders and provides framework for underlying work efforts(s) communication plans.• Identifies and determines interdependencies of work within work effort(s).• Participates in work effort(s) closure activities to determine benefit / business impact realization to include retrospective management.• Proactively manages risk by using work efforts management practices to address execution challenges associated with quality, schedule and cost and supports escalation to resolve.• Drives adoption and challenges standards. Leads subject matter experts.• Drives the adoption and sustainment of changes within the organization in compliance with USAA's Change Management methodology.• Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.What you have:• Bachelors degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.• 8 years of relevant experience in project or program management, including planning, tracking and delivery.• Expert knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.• Experience on project and program management and execution experience delivering complex work efforts working with recognized program and/or project methodologies (e.g., Waterfall and Agile).• Collaboration skills in a matrixed environment including providing consultative guidance to help solve enterprise level issues.• Extensive experience leading complex projects with significant number of deliverables including information technology and dependencies across organization; working within defined scope and budgets with aggressive timelines.• Extensive understanding of risk management policies and procedures.What sets you apart:• Expert level knowledge of and experience with functional team building, channel execution, trafficking matrices, digital tactic nomenclature and tracking, legal compliance (Adtracks) submissions and reviews, landing page publishing reviews, Extreme Reach trafficking and ISCI coding, and partner reviews (Military Affairs, DEI, Line of business "Cords").• Expert level experience developing and executing plans for delivery of tactics, including direct mail and email and manage secure network clearance and traffic instructions for commercial delivery to television stations.• Expert level experience managing landing page publishing reviews and page optimization requests, creative trafficking inputs for advertising using Aprimo, and preparing and maintaining media trafficking status reports, traffic meeting recaps, specs trackers, media/creative traffic inputs using multiple agency platforms, and communicate with partners regarding traffic progress.• Expert level experience managing proofreading, partner reviews, proper quality controls for pieces prior to final share outs, and overall compliance activity/administration for marketing tactics.• US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.The above description reflects the details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job experience and should not be construed as a detailed description of all the work requirements that may be performed in the job.What we offer:Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
