Account for others' developmental activities; assisting Project Manager in day to day project execution.The Opportunity• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications, tools, or systems.• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.• Implement features, functionalities, and algorithms using Python programming language.• Optimize code for performance, scalability, and reliability.• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.• Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions and fixes.• Stay up-to-date with the latest Python developments, libraries, and tools, and continuously improve your technical skills.• Contribute to the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.• Participate in team meetings, stand-ups, and sprint planning sessions, providing updates on progress and discussing project priorities.This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.What You Need• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.• Proven experience as a Python Developer or similar role.• Strong proficiency in Python programming language, with a deep understanding of its syntax, features, and libraries.• Experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, as well as ORM libraries like SQLAlchemy.• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Effective communication and collaboration skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.• Passion for learning and staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.Role Location: WashingtonCompensation Range: $84,000-$126,000BenefitsFull-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) program with employer matching.
