At Ancestry, UX and design are at the heart of everything that empowers the journeys of personal discovery that enrich the lives of our 3 million customers every time they engage with our core products. Our team is growing and effective immediately, we are looking for an exceptionally passionate and data-driven Product Designer who will help us reach the next 3 million customers.
What you’ll do
You'll become an integral part of our passionate and innovative team, where your contribution will help shape our journey toward becoming a product organization driven by data, continuous learning, and growth.
Translate quantitative data and qualitative insights into multiple design concepts and prototypes; balancing when to apply pixel-perfect attention to detail with speed.
Collaborate cross-functionally to optimize the user experience by identifying and prioritizing opportunities, forming hypotheses, and designing experiments.
Rely on metrics, rapid testing, and your knowledge of existing best practices to identify practical new solutions to common customer problems.
Collaboratively develop strategies and present hypotheses for regular and continuous testing, learning, and iteration
Contribute to building a culture of experimentation and A/B testing
Who You Are
You work well in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment
You have 2-3 years of relevant experience. Bonus points for anyone with experience in data-driven design for growth
You have good grasp of your craft, showcasing competence in visual and interaction design, sketching, and prototyping
You embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and actively seek out learning experiences
You function well in a collaborative environment, genuinely enjoying teamwork with diverse and talented colleagues
Experience working end-to-end in the product design process, successfully taking products from concept to launch

As a signatory of the ParityPledge in Support of Women and the ParityPledge in Support of People of Color, Ancestry values pay transparency and pay equity. We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position:
$104,400 - $154,350 - with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision. The actual salary will vary by geographic region and job experience.
