UX Designer

We are looking for a talented UX designer to help our growing customer experience team and own the discovery and design of new features for our flagship software product, Aiimi Insight Engine.

The UX designer will be working directly with Aiimi’s new and existing customers and will be responsible for understanding and translating business objectives and user needs into world-class, user cantered experiences.

You will be acting as an advocate for the user and the value of customer experience. You will be responsible for owning the UX engagement with our customers and ensuing user cantered, participatory design methods are being utilised at every opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment and have experience at all stages of the design process: from researching, concepting and prototyping to stakeholder and developer hand-offs.

Job Detail

  • You’ll own UX engagement from start to finish, leading various UX initiatives including running design sprints (both in person and remotely), discovery workshops, sketching, wireframing, low and high fidelity prototyping, and service/customer mapping. Writing up use cases that will make sense for business users and developers.
  • Manage the UX track of work within projects ensuring there are clear and solid communications with other teams.
  • Working with stakeholders to understand key business needs, their use cases and the associated users.
  • Present findings, recommendations and collaborate with UI designers, UX researchers, engineers, product managers, and customers to explore, build and deliver your designs.
  • Communicate credibly with a wide range of disciplines both internally and externally Work closely with our UX team to design content by taking complex language and processes and making them simple to understand.
  • Present design concepts and negotiate with stakeholders to arrive at a design that support both business and customer needs.
Requirements
  • Prior involvement in high-profile design projects in a commercial environment
  • Strong conceptual skills with an aptitude for problem solving, and ability to create original solutions based on user needs
  • Passion for solving product problems while balancing all facets of a user experience (strategy and research, information architecture, interaction design)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills - you will need to be comfortable working on multiple work streams
  • Experience collaborating closely with multiple subject areas including product and engineering
  • Proficiency with current industry design and collaboration tools such as Miro, Sketch, Abstract, Jira and Adobe Creative Cloud
