Title: Assistant ControllerLocation: Birmingham, AL Metro/Shelby CountyCompensation: Up to $120,000Responsibilities:• Maintains integrity of general ledger and performs monthly reviews and reconciliations on general ledger accounts.• Oversee the AR, AP, collections & invoicing process which includes managing 2 direct reports.• Record monthly accounting entries related to accruals and deferrals.• Establish and maintain strong working relationships with other staff and management team.• Provide ad-hoc reporting and financial analysis.• Monitor and manage the company's cash flow and working capital.• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process.• Other duties may be assigned.Key qualities include:• Demonstrated effective leadership, change management and collaborative skills.• Ability to effectively manage performance, engage team members, provide coaching, and respond to situations affecting staff.• Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills.• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, excellent verbal, and written communications.Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting• 5+ years of relevant experience• CPA Preferred.
