We are recruiting a Controller for a growing company on the East Coast. This is an ideal opportunity to join a company at the ground level and help shape their strategy and culture. Salary to $150K. This job is 100% remote, open to candidates on EST.During this initial growth period, the Controller will have a roll up your sleeves mentality when needed. You will play a primary role as it relates to transactional accounting, month end close, reporting, and other ancillary duties as challenges present themselves.Job Summary: The Controller will be responsible for overseeing and managing financial operations for multiple entities across the company. This role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, monitoring budgets, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial controls, accounting principles, and creating efficiencies.Key Responsibilities:• Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.• FP&A Management: Develop, monitor, and manage budgets for multiple locations. Provide variance analysis and financial forecasts to support business planning. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.• Internal Controls: You will establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial transactions are accurately recorded. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and company policies. Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for financial processes.• Team Collaboration: Work closely with location-based financial teams and department heads to provide guidance and support. Foster a collaborative environment to achieve financial objectives.• Systems: Utilize financial software and tools to streamline processes and reporting. Stay updated on technological advancements relevant to financial management.The ideal candidate will possess:• Education: Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA is highly preferred.• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years operating in a multi-entity or multi-location organization. Experience in a PE backed company is highly desired.• Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting. Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel.
