This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing our cybersecurity posture.Job Description:Overview: As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for protecting our organization from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. You will leverage your expertise to design, implement, and manage security solutions, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our information systems. This is a hybrid on-site position based in Nashville, TN, offering a competitive salary of up to $140,000.00 per year.Key Responsibilities:• Security Architecture and Design: Develop and implement security strategies and solutions to protect against threats and vulnerabilities. Design and maintain security architecture for systems and networks.• Incident Response: Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and breaches. Lead investigations, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation strategies.• SIEM Systems Management: Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems to search, analyze, and interpret security data. Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.• Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to cybersecurity best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, including NIST guidelines. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.• Zero Trust Implementation: Support and enhance the organization's Zero Trust security framework. Evaluate and integrate Zero Trust principles into existing security infrastructure.• Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential threats. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies.• Collaboration: Work closely with IT and other departments to ensure cohesive security measures. Provide guidance and support to team members and management on security-related issues.Qualifications:• Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in cybersecurity roles with a proven track record in security architecture, incident response, and data analysis.• Certification: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification is highly preferred.• Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), and strong understanding of NIST frameworks and Zero Trust architecture.• Analytical Skills: Excellent ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.• Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or additional certifications are a plus.
