We are recruiting a Senior Accountant for a growing company in the RTP area - this is a new position due to sustained growth. Salary to $110KIn this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a range of accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role requires an understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with the ability to analyze complex financial data and generate insightful reports.Key Responsibilities:• Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.• General Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments. Coordinate and execute month end close schedule to include accurate reporting• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, providing analytical support and variance analysis. Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis at the directive of the company.• Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and liaising with the external Auditors• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred. Public accounting is a huge plus, as is a CPA• Must have a minimum of 3 years in Accounting and Finance to include knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial regulations.• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
