The Role
As an Associate at Valence, you'll be at the forefront of driving high-priority initiatives with a focus on our GTM team. This high-impact role requires you to collaborate with smart, multidisciplinary teams, driven by curiosity and experience in high-performing environments. You excel at overcoming challenges, setting ambitious goals, and thriving in competitive situations. Reporting to the Marketing lead, this role will support the generation of new qualified leads, to ultimately help hit our revenue targets in 2024 and beyond. You'll support executive projects related to board activities, metrics, goal setting, and quarterly planning, providing essential leverage to our leadership team.

What You'll Do- Operational rigour and excellence: Contribute to challenges of strategic importance across the organization, with a primary focus on GTM.
- High velocity execution: Create and implement project plans and execute against them, with a focus on the GTM function. Work might include: 1) Plan, promote, and execute various marketing events across channels (webinars, conferences, roundtables, community events). 2) Help create marketing materials (such as presentations, brochures, and case studies.) 3) Contribute to written communication effort and inbox management, including drafting and proofreading marketing collateral, emails, and social media posts for senior executives.
- Decision-making tools: Develop models and plans to identify key inputs and drive cross functional decision-making alongside the team. Work might include: 1) Lead the execution of performance analysis of all marketing and sales events. 2) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and organize data, ensuring accuracy and completeness for analysis purposes.
- Growth initiatives: Quickly establish a foot hold, create playbooks, and find strategies to ensure we can rapidly scale the team. Work might include: 1) Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer profiling to identify growth opportunities.
- Team efficiency and improvement: Collaborate with various teams, including Operations, Product, Design, and Engineering, to identify and remove blockers, ensuring timely product improvements. Work might include: 1) Administrative support to the marketing and sales teams, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence. 2) Ownership and management of SalesForce/Hubspot
What We’re Looking For- 3+ years of professional experience in Investment Banking or Consulting. Track record of client servicing excellence and high quality delivery for complex senior clients.

- Strong organizational abilities. Proven ability to keep the moving parts of many workstreams on track; natural attention to the small details that make for great experiences.
- Exceptional communication skills. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adjust styles to the audience.
- Analytical abilities. Comfort with data (Excel) to organize information in a value-added way.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and resilient. Highly motivated and self-driven, with a strong desire to exceed expectations. A natural sense of urgency and not easily deterred by roadblocks.
- Growth mindset. Willingness to embrace challenges, experiment and continuously learn through high-quality feedback and new workstreams.

Location and Work Environment
We are primarily looking for candidates in NYC (Union Square) or Toronto (Queen + Spadina), hybrid 3 days a week in office. Candidates must be comfortable working with colleagues in different time zones (ET and PT) and have valid travel documents without work authorization restrictions in the US.
