Accommodations Testing Proctor   
This position offices in-person, on campus.   
    
ROLE SUMMARY   
    
Academic Team members at Valor Christian High School are charged with preparing tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Christ. The Accommodations Testing Proctor role is designed to support the mission and day-to-day functions of the Accommodations Testing Room and Academic Support department. This individual will be in close contact with students, teachers, and various departments on campus. The ideal candidate for this job would have strong administrative, technological,and communicative skills, as well as a passion for supporting student outcomes. He or she will work closely with the Academic Support team members to meet the vision of preparing tomorrow’s leaders for Christ.

Primary Responsibilities   
       Demonstrate strong proficiency in communication and administration while making a positive contribution to a strong, joyful, and cooperative team environment   
●       Administer and proctor tests for all students with alternate testing location and time-and-a-half accommodations while maintaining a positive, vigilant and temptation-free testing environment   
●       Coordinate with students and teachers to ensure a seamless, confidential handoff of all testing materials   
●       Record and maintain accurate and timely entries of all tests in the Accommodations Testing Log and record student attendance.   
●       Manage, organize, secure, and return all testing materials   
    
Secondary Responsibilities   
       Collaborate with other Accommodations Proctors on all scheduling needs and guarantee week-long testing room coverage   
●       Assist other Accommodations Testing Proctors with any testing related tasks

In turn, Valor’s Student Outcomes in spiritual formation, college preparedness, and cultural engagement are advanced.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS   
The same basic physical demands described here are the same for all employees to successfully perform the essential functions of their jobs. Employees must periodically lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and could occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral/depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   
    
WORK ENVIRONMENT   
The work environment characteristics are varied and include classroom, office, and outdoor events while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is also varied.

HOURS PER WEEK: Part-time, Non-Exempt. 10-15 hours/week.
