What You’ll Do
As the Senior Director of Integrated Marketing and Communications at Vaniam Group (VG), you will play a pivotal role in driving growth through omnichannel strategies, data, and AI integration. You will own and manage the development and execution of a robust thought leadership strategy, creating and distributing high-impact content that showcases VG’s expertise in data-driven Medical Affairs. You will coordinate pitches, public relations efforts, omnichannel messaging strategies, and support or run internal events, ensuring VG’s brand and messaging align with business objectives.
 
A Day in the Life
Deliverables
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that highlights VG’s leadership in leveraging data and AI.
  • Craft key messaging and content pillars to reinforce agency awareness and value proposition.
  • Oversee the creation of promotional campaigns that engage target audiences and drive brand loyalty.
  • Oversee media relations, press releases, and brand storytelling, enhancing the company’s reputation and visibility. 
  • Drive agency thought leadership through the development of capabilities materials, case studies, executive speaking engagements, partnerships, and sponsorships. 
  • Act as the primary steward of VG’s brand identity across all collateral, ensuring consistent messaging and promotion of emerging capabilities. 
 
Management and Internal Responsibility
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish the annual marketing plan and budget, managing to those budgets effectively. 
 
Business Development
  • Direct efforts to execute the communications strategy that further VG’s business goals, ensuring alignment with the Business Development team and Corporate Communications.
  • Support new business pursuits by working with Business Strategy Leads, Client Services leads, and service line leads to identify and win new opportunities that align with VG’s growth goals.
 
 
Other duties may be assigned to help drive deliverables within this role.
 
What You Must Have  
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in integrated marketing and communications, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry. 
 
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing strategies and data integration.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic omnichannel marketing plans.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives.
  • Experience managing public relations initiatives and media relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and listening skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and have excellent time management skills.
 
What You Might Have, but Isn’t Required 
  • Experience in a leadership role within a medical communications or consulting agency.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven marketing tools and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape in medical affairs and healthcare communications. 
 
Travel Requirements 
  • Travel within the US and internationally as necessary, based on project, sponsor, and organizational needs (30% travel expected)

Salary offers are based upon several factors including experience, education, skills, training, demonstrated qualifications, location, and organizational need. The range for this role is $150,000 - $170,000. Salary is one component of the total earnings and rewards package offered.
