The Sr. Copywriter is responsible for creating and enforcing the overall brand voice and tone for Vans. Ensures consistency of voice in all communications and accountable for consumer facing copy and narrative across all channels including seasonal product communication, email, product descriptions, press kits, campaign narratives, event collateral and miscellaneous projects.
You are a concept and idea-driven thinker who enjoys ideating and collaborating with cross-functional teams as part of your process. You are passionate about the power of evoking ideas and translating them into clear, succinct, and engaging writing across the Vans consumer experience. You are a multi-hyphenate creative with skills and interests that go beyond copywriting, and bring a unique POV to your creative style.
You are tapped into the pulse of the consumer, what inspires them, and activates them. A strong passion for and commitment to creating an authentic voice for the brand is expected.
In your role, you will be applying the marketing strategy, formulating guidelines, executing and writing against them as well. With your knowledge and skill set, you will closely with Consumer Category teams, inclusive of Creative, Brand and Product teams to ensure they are well versed in the strategy and point of view of all communication. You will be instrumental in creating work as well as supervising both internal and external partners’ development and regional versioning. You will also partner with cross-functional teams and will be expected to form strong working relationships across the organization.

Work with all Product Managers to craft concise product descriptions, learn seasonal product lines and technologies.

Responsible for collaborating on concept development and creative copy for Global Campaigns
How you will do it:

Collaborating with Marketing and Product team members to develop and communicate brand positioning and messaging.

Effectively communicate to the consumer our product features, benefits, technologies and usages.

Differentiate products through effective product-specific copywriting.

Use correct spelling, grammar, punctuation and structure throughout all materials created.

Remain current on industry trends and technology and understand consumer research.

Forming and communicating the Vans voice consistently across all channels while forming guidelines for regional adoption.

Skills for Success
Years of Related Professional Experience: 7+ years in creative writing, campaign development and product writing experience, preferably within the retail industry. Digital experience in an agency setting or retail industry is a plus.
Educational Position Requirements:
A formal education and subsequent undergraduate/graduate degrees are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.

Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office and Keynote programs

Pay Range:
$79,056.00 USD - $118,584.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential:
