AP Accountant

As the Accounts Payable (AP) Accountant at Vanta, you will own the entire AP process, including processing, recording and tracking invoices, credit notes, ERP integrations of invoices, month-end close reconciliations, and develop relationships internally with all departments.  In this high-volume role, the AP Accountant is prioritizing tasks and using critical thinking to complete work.

Maintaining vendor records and timely payment of accounts is critical to Vanta’s continued growth. As the AP Accountant, you will be responsible for timely and accurate vendor payment reporting and accurate GL reporting.

What you’ll do as a AP Accountant at Vanta:

• Daily entry of vendor invoices, including the review of invoice coding and entering changes of vendor information

• Collection of documents for vendor onboarding and importing data into our AP system

•  Investigate, address, and resolve vendor payment/invoicing issues. Work with vendors to implement corrective actions to minimize or eliminate re-occurrence in the future.

• Perform reconciliation between accounting systems and operating systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of data. Collaborate across functions to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

•  Perform month-end close activities

• Participate in ad-hoc accounting projects

How to be successful in this role:

• 2+ years experience working in an accounting role

•  Experience working with Bill.com, NetSuite (or other ERP systems), Brex

• Excellent organzation skills with the ability to foster positive relationships with vendors and co-workers

• Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly

• High attention to detail

• Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills

We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The salary or OTE range for this position is $77,000 - $90,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
