QA Automation Engineer

Vantage is looking for QA Automation Engineer who wants to be part of a growing team and have a big impact.

As a QA Automation  Engineer with Vantage, you’ll be responsible for Developing and maintaining automated test scripts for functional regression coverage using the Playwright framework for UI and REST APIs and integrating them into CI/CD pipeline. You will also be responsible for creating and improving testing-related documentation, participating actively in functional, system, integration, and regression testing activities, and working closely with the automation group to automate features for better regression coverage.

We are a fully remote team but are primarily based in southern Ontario, and usually get together at least once a month for planning, team building and group work.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for people who want to build great stuff and have a strong grasp of the fundamentals. The list below is not a hard list of requirements, we will happily train you on any areas you haven’t worked with before.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience

• 3 or more years in a QA environment and Test automation

• You’re skilled in automating the QA process for both UI and API testing but also have experience in manual testing.

• Having work experience with  JavaScript, Python or equivalent programming languages,  Testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, Cypress, Appium ), Cloud infrastructure (Circle, AWS, Azure,GCP), Workflow tools (JIRA ticketing system, Confluence, Slack). Or you are able to pick it all up very quickly.

• Hands-on experience in relational databases and SQL

• Your strength is your ability to recognize what’s wrong, troubleshoot and provide feedback; to enforce bug free implementation from the beginning.

• Understand and incorporate both industry and Vantage software development standards and best practices in all work initiatives.

• Detail-oriented, incredibly meticulous and you enjoy the fine attention to detail required to spot, prevent, and solve the tiniest of issues before our clients find them.

• Professional bug hunter. You can review technical logs and not only pinpoint the problem but propose solutions to improve it.

• Review automation test execution and test maintenance.

• You love finding new ways to solve problems.
