About the Role

The Consumer Engineering team is responsible for managing our consumer facing mobile app and building systems that help Veho deliver on our vision for a differentiated post-purchase experience for consumers. 

As a Senior Software Development Manager on our Consumer team, you’ll lead the long-term strategy to create differentiation for Veho in how we show up for our clients and how our clients show up to their consumers. On a daily basis, you will help the team solve tactical problems that improve and redefine the consumer experience for receiving a product at their doorstep.

What you'll be doing

• Leading and supporting the overall development life cycle of the consumer space and manage complex projects with significant bottom-line impact

• Overseeing a team of four developers while providing clarity and direction as they build a next generation consumer product

• Working with product managers in developing a strategy and road map to provide industry differentiating capabilities for a variety of product lines and platforms

• Partnering with our New Initiatives team to strategize and execute on how to help grow Veho’s business through new offerings

• Instilling best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules

• Navigating prioritization, planning of projects and features, Stakeholder management, and tracking of external commitments

• Translating business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions

• Monitoring the operational success of production services

• Collaborating on and participating in recruiting, hiring, and on-boarding strategies and processes

• Hands-on development focus about 25%-30% of the time
