Ventus Solutions is seeking a Financial Manager to join our exciting team. This immediate opportunity is ideal for an experienced financial manager and technically proficient individual to provide financial management and contract support to an innovative office supporting the Department of Defense. The selected candidate will provide Science and Engineering Technical Assistance (SETA) in managing the business life cycle through managing the programs finances through the development of program budgets, schedules and tracking financial commitments. Additional responsibilities include analyzing and generating solutions to complex problems, supporting the development of new program acquisition solicitations and contraction actions. The ideal candidate will have experience interfacing with multiple project management personnel to support Variance Analysis, instilling appropriate change management and control principles. status of approved funds, and work closely with senior leadership to deliver financial insights.

Required Experience

5 years of experience managing programs and finances in a DoD environment.
Experience in a professional program finance or cost control role.
Experience supporting the development of program budgets, schedules and tracking financial commitments, obligations and expenditures.
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS).
Proficiency with MS Excel formulas and pivot tables.
Experience with CSDR Flexfile and Quantity Reports.
Experience with Agile Methodology and Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
Secret Clearance

Desired Experience

Experience with the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) financial system.
Experience generating military interdepartmental purchase requests (MIPR) or purchase request (PR) documents.
Ability to exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork.
EVP or PMP Certification.
