The “Cloud Solutions Engineer” will execute the migration of applications and services to AWS AIR Cloud hosted services. The role requires solid experience in cloud computing environments, hands on technical skills, passion and appetite to master new technologies, and excellent communication skills. You will be part of the Cloud App Support team within the Technical Services Group (TSG) in Boston, MA, USA. ​ Responsibilities ​ ​ • Diagnose and resolve issues for cloud platform products; engineer and implement new operations, productivity and investigation tools to increase efficiency for Technical Solutions Engineering • Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for Product Managers, Software Engineering teams, Sales Engineers to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve the product's vision • Obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of AIR’s product technology and underlying hardware and software architectures, to build in-product self-service solutions • Be an advocate for our customers in representing their issues to Product Management and Software Engineering and develop innovative ways to resolve issues • Work together with the product engineering teams to setup and maintain multiple implementation environments • Create, Implement, and Maintain automation to support continuous integration and continuous delivery processes to drive speed and efficiency • Develop reporting for the operational metrics necessary for capacity planning and SLA reporting • Provide 24x7 on rotational On-Call and extended/non-core hours support ​ Qualifications ​ ​ • 2-5 years of industry experience in technical support, professional services, cloud infrastructure or systems engineering • Technical knowledge of infrastructure components (network, storage, and Windows) • Experience architecting cloud infrastructure on AWS for small, medium scale and enterprise-scale applications. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy • Experience implementing logging, instrumentation, and monitoring services for infrastructure, applications, and dependent services • Creative and innovative approach to problem solving and passion for continuous improvement • Comfortable working in cross functional and multidisciplinary teams • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft HPC is a plus • BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience ​ Additional Information ​ For over 50 years, Verisk has been the leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry by delivering value to our clients through expertise and scale.
