Validation Coordinator

As a Validation Coordinator you are responsible for obtaining proper documentation to validate certain fees charged at the time of closing. You will be responsible for requesting and processing mortgage related documentation, reconciling recording and title fees when applicable, and requesting refunds for overages when necessary. Depending on your assignment you will focus primarily on one of the following areas:• Recording Fee Validation• CA Per Diem ValidationJob duties may include, but are not limited to:Recording Fee Validation• Reconcile recording and title fees collected at closing with disbursement ledgers and/or additional documentation from the title company and/ or internal parties. Issue post-consummation closing disclosures with updated fees (if applicable).• Archive legible and complete copies of any applicable refunds issued to borrowers.• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to mortgage documentation, recording, and/or title fees.• Remain knowledgeable on company and industry guidelines and processes.• Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.CA Per Diem Validation• Determine actual disbursement dates based on settlement documentation in order to re-balance the fee breakdown and issue post-consummation closing disclosures with updated fees (if applicable).• Issue daily interest refunds to buyers based on verified disbursement documentation.• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to mortgage documentation, disbursement documentation, and/or title fees.• Remain knowledgeable on company and industry guidelines and processes.• Actively contribute to making the team and culture stronger by assisting with other duties as needed, excluding licensed activity.We’re looking for someone who can be passionate about their job and have fun doing it, who will deliver results with integrity, and who enjoys finding ways to enhance the lives of others every day.We’ll also want to know you can demonstrate these attributes:• High attention to detail• Ability to multitask• Ability to manage time• Strong problem-solving aptitude• Exemplary customer service skills• Excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment• Thrive in a highly cooperative work setting• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)• Veterans United experience• Proficient in basic computer technologies, appropriate for an internet-based company• Regular and predictable attendanceLearn more about us on Glassdoor and our career site at vu.com/careersVeterans United Home Loans and its affiliates are proud to be Equal Opportunity Employers committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
