OverviewABOUT THE POSITIONVHB's South Burlington, VT office has an opening for a Site/Civil Engineer to join our Land Development group. The successful candidate will work with our team of professionals to support all aspects of site/civil engineering for public and private site and infrastructure design, including grading and drainage design, utility design, and stormwater system design for projects ranging from renewable energy facilities , ski resort and recreational areas, infill housing development, transportation, and water quality improvement projects.Responsibilities• Work within an integrated team of engineers, environmental scientists, and landscape architects in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude and public and private infrastructure projects with a focus on sustainability and resiliency• Preparation of design plans from schematic design through construction documents• Assist in the preparation of permitting, design and construction documents• Technical and Design Report writing• Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issuesSkills and Attributes• Ability to think critically and creatively in a team-focused environment• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills• Self-motivated• Attention to detailQualifications• BS in Civil Engineering• 3+ years of professional site/civil engineering experience• EIT preferred• AutoCAD Civil 3D experience required• GIS, HydroCAD, and StormCAD experience a plus• Experience preparing graphics and mapsWe are VHB!
