Engineering Manager, Backend
Via is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager, Backend to lead a team of developers in our core R&D center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, databases, and hands-on experience in Python, C++, and Java or C#.
Skills
- Minimum 7 years of backend development and databases experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Python, C++, and Java or C#
- Solid programming foundations in data structures, multi-threading, OOP, and design patterns
- Experience with SQL/MySQL and performance optimizations
- Expertise with cloud platforms like AWS and Kubernetes
- Clear communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-caliber backend engineering team
- Implement microservices from design to production
- Take ownership of development, maintenance, testing strategy, and design discussions
- Lead all aspects of agile software development
- Research and suggest new technologies for product enhancement
